Jonny Evans has expressed his delight after signing a one-year contract with Manchester United, describing it as one of the best nights of his life. The Northern Irish defender returns to the club he played for between 2007 and 2015, having left for West Bromwich Albion in 2018.

Evans, 36, has represented Northern Ireland on over 100 occasions and has also played for Sunderland and Leicester City during his career. He is expected to make his second debut for United in the upcoming Premier League match against Brentford.
